Issuance of certified copy of a land instrument is done by 50 Land Registries established Island wide. This service can be obtained by forwarding an application to the Land Registry which is relevant to the area that the land is situated.
Duty Hours
8.30 am to 3.45 pm on week days.( cash counter is opened only up to 3.00 pm) Office is not opened on Saturdays, Sundays and public holydays.

Applications should be forwarded to the Land Registry which is relevant to the area that the land is situated

Application
Prescribed printed application should be forwarded. The number of the application is‘A32 A’. Application can be downloaded by the web-site. "A32A"
The persons claiming to present the application
- Owner of the property
- The agent of any such person having any interest in
If the application is presented by an agent, a letter of empowering should be forwarded.
Fees
Payment of fees can be made by cash or to any branch of the Bank of Ceylon to be credited to the account number 7041650 of Registrar General’s . Bank receipt should be affixed.
Obtaining such folio of such land or copies of folios or extracts.
- Normal service charge for one folio - Rs.120.00
- Speedy service charge for one folio - Rs.200.00
